Otile Brown and Jux’s newly released song ‘Regina’ has faced fierce criticisms from staunch Christians like singer Alex Apoko alias Ringtone.

Ringtone took to social media to rant about the song saying it was insulting Christians because it was promoting blasphemy.

The gospel singer says the song’s is praising women while referring to them as a messiah. He says this is deeply insulting to Christians.

“Ladies and gentlemen my name is Ringtone, the gospel activist, the gospel chairman na leo nataka tu kusema hivi; we are very angry na wasanii wawili ambao Jux na Otile Brown. Ambao wanaimba nyimbo yao mbaya ya kidunia ya kishetani ya kusifu wanawake alafu wanaanza kusema mwanamke amekua kama messiah,” said Ringtone in part.

Part of ‘Regina’ lyrics goes “Nilikuwa pabaya ukaniokoa Messiah for your love i never tire my beiby”.

Ringtone further called for the song to be banned for promoting blasphemy, even suggesting that Otile and Jux to be sued.

“So hii nyimbo yenu mpya ya Otile Brown na Jux, hio nyimbo kwanza inafaa kuwa banned kwa sababu iko na blasphemy. How do you call a woman Messiah? Mushindwe sana.

So kama Wakristo tumekasirika sana na tunataka kusema kwamba nyinyi wasanii wa kidunia musianze kumissuse jina la Yesu. Messiah ni Yesu peke yake.

So tumekasirika kama Wakristo, na I think we are contemplating dawa ya moto ni moto ehh… Mbona ata tunaona tunaweza kuenda kuwasue na tuban hio wimbo kwa sababu ina misuse the name of Jesus. Jesus is the only Messiah. Tumekasirika sana, Otile Brown tumekasirika. Tumekasirika sana,” said a vexed Ringtone.
