Controversial gospel artiste, Ringtone Apoko has struck again, this time he has a message for the President of the Republic of Kenya.
The self-proclaimed Chairman of the Gospel music in Kenya took to social media to, first of all, thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta for thinking about the artistes in the country in his national address but he subtly but firmly declined the Kshs. 100 million stipulated for all artistes, musicians, and actors in the country during the pandemic, Coronavirus, COVID-19 period.
“Mr. President thanks for giving us artistes money.” Ringtone Apoko said in part on social media.
The musician who is a veteran gospel musician went on to say that the money should be given to a “struggling” fellow gospel musician, Bahati and his wife, Diana Marua who according to him, she’s getting a little thin.
“Some like Bahati will be able to feed their wives(Diana alikuwa ameanza kukonda)” Ringtone continued.
The self-confessed millionaire who resides in Runda went on to say that the money if at all gets disbursed to all the musicians in the music industry will be so little that it can only afford him to buy maize seeds to plant on his vast land.

“For me, that will help me in buying maize seeds for planting in my shamba. God bless you, President Uhuru Kenyatta,” he concluded.
Ringtone Apoko is among the first Kenyan musicians to react after the President’s national address finally tackling the issue of musicians that Willy Paul brought to the President a couple of days ago.
