There’s no way that most millennials and every person who streams east African music can’t know who Rich Mavoko is, the Tanzanian artiste who was formerly signed to Diamond Platnumz’s record and management label, Wasafi Classic Baby popularly known by its acronym WCB.
The ‘Ibaki Story’ hitmaker fell out with WCB’s management and was released from their management but not after the two parties had to settle the case in court and made it official.

Even though Rich Mavoko went on to try new things as a solo, independent artiste in the competitive bongo music, he has never been able to break even to release a record like the ones he released when he was signed with WCB.
Even though he has been able to release records like ‘Wezele’, ‘Happy’, and ‘Ndegele’ after he went out independently, none of his records has reached the level his previous ones like ‘Ibaki Story’, ‘Kokoro’, ‘Rudi’ which features Nigerian Patoranking, that he released when he was still signed under Wasafi Classic Baby.
“Ni Siku ya mwisho ya maisha yangu yaliobaki” his Instagram caption read
Rich Mavoko took to social media to post a rather blood-curdling Instagram post where he tells his fans that it’s his last days in Swahili which loosely translates to ” it’s the last days of my life that’s left”
