One matatu makanga(tout) working for City Hopper Limited was subjected to humiliation by asked to wear a tag for seven straight days as a warning to other touts for not giving out receipts upon payment by passengers. She was allegedly seen asking for a mere 500 shillings (USD 5) form her colleagues who laughed her off. She was wearing the tag at Nairobi’s KENCOM stage.

the tag read; “CITY HOPPER LIMITED. TO MY FELLOW CONDUCTORS PLEASE ALWAYS ISSUE OUR CUSTOMERS WITH TICKETS, IT IS THEIR RIGHT. DON’T BE LIKE ME!”
