Comedian Herman Gakobo Kago aka Professor Hamo recently set tongues wagging when he surfaced online with a swollen face.

Hamo’s second wife comedian Jemutai spoke about her husband’s face swelling during an interview with controversial Milele FM presenter Ankali Ray.

Jemutai claimed Hamo only had a boil.

“I just talked to him today, he has a boil, but he’s fine,” Jemutai answered Ankali before hanging up.

Hamo himself opened up about the condition he is suffering from in a post on social media.

The comedian revealed that he was battling protein intolerance which was making his face swell. He however noted that he was getting the necessary treatment.

“Mungu ni mwema ati ni mimi niko na protein intolerance 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sasa dr moimet @koibatekherbs tumalize hii kitu kabisa,” Hamo wrote.

Protein intolerance is a disorder that results from an adverse effect of the ingestion of food proteins. It is caused by the inability to digest or effectively break down amino acids. When food proteins are not digested well, they can act as antigens resulting in food protein allergies.

The definitive treatment of food protein intolerance is strict elimination of the offending food from the diet. [sic]
