Prison Break season 6 confirmed by series producer

Prison Break is not over after all. Most people thought season five was a wrap following the death of the main villain and the brothers finally reuniting.

Prison Break season 1 was released in 2005 before it ended with season 4 in 2009. Season 4 was preceded with a spin off movie ‘Final Break’ that explained how Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) died.

Series producer Fox revived Prison Break for Season 5 after eight long years. Season 5 basically explains how Scofield survived and how he pursues the villain who forced him to ‘die’.

Season 5 begins with Scofield serving time at Ogygia Prison in Sana’a, Yemen before he breaks out and goes after the man who fixed him.

Season 5 ended with the reunion of Scofield and his brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell). The main bad guy is also stabbed to death (presumably) after he was arrested and sent to Fox River prison where Scofield orchestrated the first breakout to save his brother’s life.

Just when everybody thought Prison Break was finally over again, FOX pops to announced they have renewed the series for season 6.

“Yes! this very month January 2018, FOX officially confirmed that it was “developing a new iteration” of Prison Break. “It’s in very early stages of development,” said entertainment president Michael Thorn.
