Prince Kwamiso is a young, passionate and ambitious contemporary artiste with a burning desire to inspire his generation.
Though he loved music and grew up in a Christian family where going to church on Sunday was necessary, he says, “Church was boring to me. There was nothing attractive. There was no excellence in the music I heard.”
The Jacksons 5 fired up his passion for music. He admired Michael Jackson with his break dance, his vocal power, and stage presence. Lokua Kanza, Tracy Chapman, Kirk Franklin, J Moss, Deitrick Haddon, John Legend, Jason Mraz, ASA are some of the greatest influences for his music.
His desire is to bring out an excellent music with a transforming and positive message led him to work hard and search for the best out of himself. To him, gospel music is more than the song. It is about the lifestyle of the artiste.
According to him, the message of Christ Jesus is not to be confounded in between the four walls of a church but this has to reach out to the world. “We have got to package our music in a way to sell it to the entire universe without changing the message or denying its power”, he says.
His gift has made room for him and brought his cultural boundary-crossing music to Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Dubai, and Thailand, “I am called to the nations of the world. And my ministry goes beyond the songs I sing.”
Through a series of painful events in his life, Prince Kwamiso discovered multiple talents that he never thought he had. “I have been writing songs since I am very small but I never knew I could also write books or even stand before a mass of people and influence them positively.”
Prince Kwamiso is actively involved, as a Global Citizen. He lends his talents and ability to humanity by spreading the message on issues of common interest but he is also a partaker through his volunteering and charitable actions.
His conviction is that there is no fulfillment in life until one discovers his God-given abilities, his mission, and purpose, and go about fulfilling it. No wonder he has assigned to himself the mission to be the change, to be the role model, to be a mentor to young people. Helping them discover their potentials and live a more fulfilling life.
Prince Kwamiso has released several singles, among which, the very compelling and heart touching ‘Furaha’ which continues to bless thousands of people all across the globe. He recently released a new single, ‘Uko Wapi’ which is already creating the buzz.
He is working on his first album and at the same time planning on publishing two books.
