Vanessa Mdee has not released any song for two years, she took a break from music and now her fans think she is never going to make a comeback ever.
Mdee went slow on her music career when she got into a serious relationship with Nigerian American actor husband Olurotimi Akinosho alias Rotimi.
Vee Money hooked up with Rotimi in July 2019 after they met at Essence Festival in the US. Rotimi proposed to Mdee in December 2020 after a year of dating.
The two lovebirds were blessed with their first child together in September 2021.
She is now busy with motherhood and documenting her life in her vlog.
The Tanzanian singer last released a song in November 2019, – Never Ever (Re-imagined) ft. Frederic Gassita & The London Symphony Orchestra.
Classic FM presenter Obinna faulted Venessa Mdee for quitting her music career. He nonetheless urged her to do what really makes her happy.
“I don’t know why Vanessa Mdee stopped doing music and I know she doesn’t need to but it’s not about that, it is about what makes you happy. Unless she was doing music out of need, then that is fine but if she was happy making music, I don’t understand why she would quit,” Obinna said.
He added that;
“I always look at Rotimi and am like wow! When you get to take a look at their videos, you see they have a child together. He bought her a Range Rover, he bought her a house…”
