Britney Spears got a visit from police after she posted a controversial video on Instagram that caught the attention of suicide watch.
Police checked on Britney Spears’ well-being after the pop star shared a video of herself dancing with knives.
Spears twirled around her Southern California home holding two large knives while wearing a crop top and bikini bottoms.
The video prompted concern and was flagged by some netizens who notified authorities.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department conducted a welfare check on the Spears’ home after netizens raised the alarm.
Police however established that the veteran singer was not in any danger physically or emotionally and left the singer’s home.
Spears shared the dancing video, writing, “I started playing in the kitchen with knives today !!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!!!”
However, the knives made the typical clanking sound when she hit them together.
She later clarified the video, telling fans, “Lighten up about the knives I’m copying Shakira !!!”
It was though that the 41-year-old singer posed a danger to her own life because of the stress brought about by her 29-year-old estranged husband Sam Asghari who is divorcing her and also demanding huge payout.
The couple’s date of separation is listed as July 28, and Asghari asked for spousal support and attorney’s fees in his filing.
