A-Reece alias the Boy Doing Things have clearly been affected by the untimely death of Riky Rick which nobody had anticipated.
Riky Rick’s death will forever not sit well with anyone who appreciated African hip hop, you can’t tell that person anything otherwise, we didn’t only lose an icon, we love a visionary person who was always happy to see other young black people win and uplift them, you don’t need to get told about what he was all about, it’s all there for you to see; just listen to his lyrics, watch his actions –which some has been documented on videos– and you’d know and understand why it’s not only South Africa is gutted but the entire Africa hip hop community is still in shock by the news.
Among the many established rappers in their own right who have been gutted by the news of Riky Rick’s demise like the rest of us have is A-Reece.
A-Reece was very close with Riky Rick and everybody who follows rap here in Mzansi knows this to be true, the love these two people had for each other cannot be put into words but thanks to a record they worked on together dubbed ‘Pick You Up’, Riky Rick’s memory will vicariously live through that song and many other songs and the good deeds he did for a lot of people around him and everywhere he could help.
Clearly overwhelmed by emotions, A-Reece took to Instagram to share an emotional video of himself together with Riky Rick while they were together on a show with fans chanting his name.
In the video, Riky Rick is seen encouraging A-Reece and commending him for the love and loyalty he commands from his fans.

A-Reece didn’t write anything as he shared the emotional video accompanied by a few photos of himself together with Riky Rick but whatever he shared said a lot that words could not suffice.
