Jada Pinkett has again addressed her future with her estranged husband Will Smith after recently revealing they secretly separated since 2016.
While appearing on Tuesday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore, Pinkett said that Will Smith and her had decided to uphold their lifelong commitment to one another.
“We’re staying together forever. I tried. We tried,” she said.
On his part, Will Smith admitted he and his wife have faced many challenges in their marriage life.
“We have had a very, very long and tumultuous [relationship]. We call it ‘brutiful.’ It was brutal and beautiful at the same time,” Will Smith said in front of a large audience at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore.
In October 2023, Jada Pinkett dropped the bombshell on her marriage with Will Smith during media interview, revealing that they have been living completely separate lives since 2016.
The 52-year-old actress and her 55-year-old husband have been married since 1997. Pinkett however said they are not legally divorced.
Their marriage has come under scrutiny during the period she says they have been apart.
The couple’s children are tired of the constant eyes watching their parents and would like some privacy for their family according to a source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight.
