Phy isn’t a name like no other, at least in the music and entertainment circles, Phy is one of the best vocalists Kenya is proud to call her own.
The gifted musician who has one of the timeless hit record dubbed ‘Taboo’ opened up about how her life took a 360 turn-around after she got pregnant and brought forth the beautiful angel into this world.
Phy was behind the scenes for the just concluded Jenga Jirani Festival helping other artistes prep for their performances before she gave one of the most powerful live performances yet.
“What you probably don’t know is that I worked behind the scenes for the festival, so before and after this I was in sweats running up and down getting artists ready for their own sets in terms of documentation and production,” Phy said in her social media post.
Phy thanks King Kaka for her musical success in a special way
This is what Phy has been doing for the longest time and since she promised her fans that she would open up about what happened to her in regard to her music, she opened up telling them what she’s been up to.
” This is where I’ve disappeared to folks…I promised to explain. I’m on the path to creative entrepreneurship, to be an influence in the creative space in effecting systems and structures alongside doing my music. ” Phy said in part.
She went on to add;
“When the year started with a new baby and no income, I wondered if I’ll ever work again. If I’ll ever sing again. If the promises God made were all in my head.
Then this happened, and as if God was showing off I got accepted into a creative entrepreneurship scholarship program.
So it’s a new journey, and I’d love to live it authentically with you all. I’m figuring it out.. I’m learning to balance it all, and hopefully, by the time new music is out, you’ll know that I gave it my all. Mapenzi, always”
