Believe it or not! 23-year-old Nigerian Afrobeat musician Ruger, real name Michael Adebayo Olayinka has a Kenyan doppelganger.
Ruger gained notoriety in 2021 when he inked a record deal with D’Prince, “Jonzing World Record,” and agreements for publishing and distribution with Columbia Records and Sony Music Entertainment, U.K.
Ruger is famously known for his hit songs ‘Bounce’ and ‘Girlfriend’ which is so far his best performing song with 24 Million views and a worldwide virality across all social media platforms, radio shows and TV.
Kenyan upcoming artist Aston Kenya, is Ruger’s lookalike.
In his new video, Aston showcases his fashion style and as well as his trademark eye patch which the Nigerian superstar says is his brand identity.
Honestly, Aston needs to work a lot to improve and perfect his act and more so his music.
With his brown hair dye though, the youngster can still amaze the easy to please Kenyan fan-base; with just his ‘look-alike’ thingy.
More effort, strategy, talent and financial muscle is needed to breakthrough this tough and very competitive music and entertainment industry.
But maybe, just maybe; one day, he’ll be as huge musically as Ruger.
