2 mins read

Pendo real name Stacy Vugusta was arraigned in court over an unpaid hotel bill that was incurred while she was staying in a hotel for a few days and failed to settle the bill.

The musician and former reality TV star allegedly spent a few days at the English Point Marina hotel in Mombasa with an unknown man who left her stranded and abandoned her with the full hotel bill to settle.

The bill incurred and that she was left with by the unidentified was KShs. 330,000 and thus the reason why she was arraigned in court.

Pendo managed to raise only KShs. 145,000 of the initial total amount of KShs. 330,000, she still owes the hotel, KShs. 208,000.

It was reported that Pendo had initially pledged to settle the remaining bill within two days between September 14, and October 7, 2020.

According to the aforementioned hotel, they resorted to blocking her from leaving demanding that she paid the amount in full before they let her leave the hotel premises.

The management gave her two weeks to raise the money and pay in full but her efforts of raising the money proved futile and the bill continued to accumulate.

After the hotel management learned that she couldn’t pay the bill despite giving her two weeks to pay the pending hotel bill, they opted to alert the police and have her charged in court.
