Former Nairobi Diaries actress Stacy Vugusa alias Pendo could soon end up in jail if police execute arrest warrant issued against her.

The arrest warrants comes at a time Pendo is relaunching her music career. She is making music comeback after years in the cold. The socialite has dropped an Extended Play (EP) titled ‘Illusion’ which has five songs.

Pendo opened up about using cocaine while being interviewed about her new EP. She confessed that former Nairobi Diaries co-star Bridget Achieng found her snorting cocaine. However she claims that she was not a cocaine addict and that she was only trying it at the time.

“Experience is the best teacher. Things happen in the industry, and you try things. She probably just saw me one day trying and she tried as well. I tried it but it is not my thing,” said Pendo in a recent interview.

She added that;

“It (doing cocaine) is wasting money. It’s an expensive and meaningless lifestyle that doesn’t help your creativity.”

Just a day after her confession, Mombasa court issued a warrant of arrest against Pendo in charges unrelated to her cocaine use.

Shanzu Magistrates Court in Mombasa issued an arrest warrant against Pendo for failing to appear in court several times in relation to an ongoing case where she failed to pay her hotel bill.

Pendo is accused of failing to pay Ksh208,000 to the English Point Marina in Mombasa after staying at the hotel in 2020.

In their presentation in court, the plaintiff said that Pendo arrived at the high-end facility on September 12th 2020, and was scheduled to stay until September 14th.

The defense said that Pendo gave the hotel a Ksh139,350 cheque from Absa bank which bounced. The socialite opted to extend her stay at the hotel for 10 days as she waited for her sponsor to sort out the issue because he was reportedly outside the country.

However, Pendo was ultimately arrested as the sponsor failed to show up. She was subsequently freed on bail but has been skipping court sessions.

Senior magistrate David Odhiambo issued an arrest warrant against Pendo noting that the socialite had failed to appear in court several times.
