“Rent nalipa Kenya ingekua Tanzania ningekua naishi kwa palace” Otile Brown

Otile Brown is increasingly making headlines in and outside Kenya following his series of interviews in various media.

His recent interview with Oga Obinna on his YouTube channel has attracted mixed reactions as Otile seems to be provoking fellow artistes from the neighboring country of Tanzania.

The ‘Baby Love’ hitmaker claimed that with the money he earns in this country, he could go to Tanzania and will live like a king in a big and wonderful palace.

Brown said that with the amount of money he pays for his rental apartment in Nairobi, if he takes that amount and goes to rent a house in Tanzania, then he will get a better house like a royal palace.

“The rent that I am paying here in Kenya, the rent money, if I was in Tanzania I would be living in a palace,” the artist said while Obinna asked him if houses in Tanzania are cheap.

Although he only spoke without seeming to belittle his colleagues, some music stakeholders from Tanzania felt that Otile Brown was looking down on Bongo musicians.

Earlier, Otile hit the headlines in the interview after claiming that there is not a single artiste from the entire East African region who has reached international standards.

Otile said that not even Diamond has reached those levels despite being considered the artiste who made the most international impact.

It will be remembered that this is not the first time for Otile to provoke his colleagues from Tanzania.

Sometime back, Otile mocked the chains of Diamond and Mbosso wore which they said were expensive gold, claiming that they were just fake jewelry.
