Omah Lay is currently crying foul after he found out that his belonging has been stolen.
The ‘Godly’ hitmaker who took over the Afro-Fusion music scene with authority opened up about losing his laptop and recording pieces of equipment even a microphone in the airport.
The Port Harcourt native who might have lost a lot of songs even though he didn’t exclusively mention it on social media made light of the situation claiming that whoever stole from him might have known him probably because he might have been looking for a hit record.
“So they stole my laptop, microphone & audio interface from my box at the airport LMAO, y’all looking for a hit record or what?” Omah Ley shared on Twitter.
Whatever was on the laptop seems to be of no importance to the Nigerian hitmaker because he followed up the tweet disclosing his ordeal saying how he’s looking forward to being on his bed the entire day for the very first time in 17 days.
“I hope I can finally be on my bed all day for the first time in 17 days,” he said in his follow-up tweet.
Omah Lay, the ‘Lo Lo’, and ‘Damn’ hitmaker didn’t disclose what caused him to lose his laptop but if you’ve been in any airport you’d know how hectic it usually is to maneuver on the airport.
Omah Lay is one of the new artistes in the Afrobeats, Afro-fusion genre who have since taken over the African music scene with unprecedented authority.
He has one of the most-streamed records in Africa today in ‘Goldly’ and was also a part of a hit record by Olamide dubbed ‘Infinity’. Both records are among the top most watched songs on YouTube and most-streamed records in multiple streaming portals.
Omah Lay is clearly among the top 5 African artistes to watch in 2021.
