Comedian Sande Bush alias Dr Ofweneke and his ex wife gospel singer Veronica Wanja aka Nicah The Queen broke up sometimes in 2017.
Nicah and Ofweneke had such a dramatic breakup in March 2017. Their marriage hit rock bottom after Nicah accused Ofweneke of physical abuse while Ofweneke claimed Nicah was unfaithful.
Nicah revealed that she battled depression after the breakup ordeal. The gospel singer took to social media to narrate her experience with depression.
How am I holding up? How am I feeling whole again? How did my broken heart heal? How did I get my confidence back? How am I hoping again? How’s my faith growing day by day?? How?? Just how? Been rejected, judged and felt like am not enough. I have cried myself to sleep most of the nights, I have wished death on myself,” wrote Nicah.
Adding that;
“I have been hurt by someone I loved and left me without notice, I have had to be strong and a superhero for my girls. Heartbreaks are real, depression is real, reality is painful and life is never fair but at the end of the day God has the final say. I AM A MIRACLE!!! GOD HELD ME AND NOW AM A TESTIMONY. Don’t give up on yourself…. you are raising again and this time round you’ll shock many. Good night family.”
Nicah and Ofweneke are co-parenting despite their dramatic breakup. The comedian explained that he was forced to co-parent with Nicah because he didn’t want their children to grown up in a toxic environment.
“Listen, the reason why my daughters are happy is because their mum and I are friends and we have agreed that our broken marriage got nothing to do with the kids, That they can be at mum’s for as long as they wish and they can be at dad’s as long as they wish either, Both of you have to be selfless to make sure the kids have a clean environment away from the toxic atmosphere for them to have a happy upbringing, You don’t love that guy anymore but let the kids love their dad same you don’t love that lady anymore but let those kids love their mum, If there is any truth to be known at the right time they will,” wrote Dr. Ofweneke.
