Octopizzo linked up with the award-winning rapper who has helped put the Africa hip hop scene to an international pedestal, Nasty C the other day.
Octopizzo shared with his fans what he’s been up to of late and it so happens that he’s been making moves, major ones away from the paparazzi lens both in the music and fashion industries.
The Kibera-born and bred rapper who is also a fashionista deeply involved with fashion always constantly pushing the envelope met up with Nasty C for the very first time.
It’s not yet made public if they met up to talk about the potential of working together musically or working in fashion since Octopizzo is involved in fashion under SeaSaw Apparel, a fashion line. Nasty C was spotted wearing some apparel from the fashion brand during his stay in Kenya and he’s loving the urban fashion brand.
Nasty C and Octopizzo have not let anybody in on what’s their plans –if there’s any in the pipeline already– but it is certainly what the Kenyan hip hop scene might want to be looking forward to since Nasty C is yet to collaborate on a project with a mainstream artiste in Kenya at the moment. He hasn’t worked with any mainstream artiste in the Kenyan music scene today.
Time will tell if there would be a project between Nasty C and Octopizzo since both of them are accomplished in their own right as bring some of the best rappers Africa has ever seen today.
It would be a blunt lie to say that hip hop fans in Africa wouldn’t be looking forward to seeing a collabo of Nasty C and the one man who changed and shaped the Kenyan hip hop scene to be what it is today; a successful commercial enterprise that has employed a lot of youth at the moment.
Octopizzo and Nasty C are yet to speak on a collaboration project despite having met the other day. As stated earlier in this piece, time will tell if their collabo will come to fruition.
