Nyashinski whose real name is Nyamari Ongegu took to social media, his Instagram account through his Instagram stories to hint at a possibility of not performing at the highly advertised Adenkule Gold’s show.

The Destination Africa Festival show that the talented Nigerian singer is set to headline on the show has Nyashinski, Xenia Manasseh, Otile Brown, Fena Gitu booked to perform on the gig.

A few hours ago, Nyashinski said that he got a throat infection when he was rehearsing for the show and he doesn’t see himself performing at the show, though he is not certain.

“This one needs FAITH! I have had quite an exciting week with intense rehearsal sessions in preparation for Destination Africa Festivals.

Unfortunately, yesterday I developed an infection that has suddenly infected my throat and is threatening my performance, please keep me in your prayers” he wrote on Instagram stories to tell his loyal stans about the probability of not performing.

The show is slotted for today, the ‘Mungu Pekee’ hitmaker is looking forward to performing for his fans together with Otile Brown, Xenia Manasseh, and Fena Gitu.

This comes a few days into Eric Omondi’s efforts of trying to “fix” the music industry in Kenya which as he puts it, loves to put other artistes from other countries and different genres from other countries on the pedestal as opposed to supporting their own.

The celebrated comedian has irked almost every other musician in Kenya over his sentiments about the state of Kenyan music but not all entirely, there are some established artistes who are in his corner like Kris Erroh, Gabiru Mtu Necessary, Sosuun, and Victoria Kimani.
