Nyamira residents bury Uhuru Kenyatta’s effigy

The Abagusii people are angry with Uhuru Kenyatta thanks to his unending attacks on Chief Justice David Maraga. Residents in Nyamira county burnt and buried Uhuru’s effigy even after the president held a meeting with Abagusii delegation at State House Nakuru.

Tension between Uhuru and Abagusii people have further been heightened by recent development where Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu filed a petition against Chief Justice David Maraga.

Uhuru asked the Nyeri Town MP to withdraw the petition against Maraga. This move was however interpreted as a well calculated ploy by Jubilee to woo the Abagusii voters; Uhuru attacks Maraga, Nyeri Town MP files a petition against Maraga then Uhuru appears to ‘protect’ Maraga against the Nyeri MP.

Nyamira residents however refused to be taken for a ride as they held demonstrations in the streets to protest against Uhuru’s onslaught on CJ Maraga.

Angry residents burnt and buried Uhuru’s effigy during the demonstrations. Watch the video below:
