Eliud Kipchoge through his lawyer Donald Kipkorir threatened to sue NRG radio after the station used the marathoner’s name, images and references on all its social media and online platforms without his approval.

NRG radio rebranded itself to ‘Kipchoge Radio’ after the marathoner became the first human to ran a 42km marathon in under two hours.

Kipchoge’s lawyer Donald Kipkorir on Friday October 18th demanded that NRG Radio stops using the marathoner’s name on its brands.

Kipkorir further directed that the radio station expunges his client’s name, images and references from all its social media and online platforms within two hours.

NRG promptly complied with Kipkorir’s demands and quickly removed and deleted all mentions to the Kipchoge name on its platforms. The station now refers itself as the ‘Mashuja Radio’.
