Comedian Timothy Kimani, popularly known as Njugush, has earned bragging rights after beating competition from across the continent to be crowned Africa digital influencer of the year.
Njugush won the Africa Digital Influencer of the Year category in the 2020 Africa Digital Awards held on Saturday, November 28th.
The annual Africa Digital Awards are meant to recognize innovation, technology and creativity across multiple areas of an ever-evolving sector in the continent.
The Kenyan comedian beat competition from Njuguna popular Nigerian blogger Linda Ikeji to win the coveted award.

Other nominees forAfrica Digital Influencer of the Year category included; Kwadwo Sheldoh from Ghana, Lasizwe from South Africa, and Edith Yoh from Cote D’Ivoire.
Speaking of his win, an ecstatic Njuguna said; “Africa Digital Influencer of the Year. A huge title thanks to your support. Thanks, Africa Digital Awards for your recognition. Influence with a purpose.”
