Ngei ward in Huruma estate plans to sue City Hall to stop building demolition

Ngei MCA in Huruma estate, Dan Mutiso said that many structures has been demolished and the residents together with the are suffering on this loss. A seven storey building collapsed and killed 57 people in Huruma and this cause the National Construction Authority to release a list of 204 unsafe and/or inhabitable buildings within Nairobi to be demolished.

Most of the building that were marked to be demolished were from Huruma with a total of 58 condemned building with Zimmerman coming a close second with 28 while in South B only 19 houses were marked on Hazina estate. Surprsingly, the Hazina houses were owned by the National Social Security Fund(NSSF) managers were earmarked for demolition but they are yet to be pulled down.
