Nandy came under scathing attack more so from women who body-shamed her after posting a photo on her social media account.
The Bongo singer took to her Instagram account and posted a photo showing her belly which had stretch marks.
Female critics started mocking Nandy because of the way her stomach looked with stretch marks all over.
The trolling did not sit well with Nandy more so because it was mostly women who were trolling and body shaming her. She felt a sense of betrayal and stigmatization.
Nandy decided to give a detailed explanation about the picture and said that she decided to upload it as it is because she accepts her body and the changes she goes through after giving birth.
The Bongo singer hit back at fellow women who do not want to accept themselves as they are and said that she had all the power to edit the picture to hide the stretch marks but decided to leave it as it is to show the reality.
Nandy stressed that she cannot hide anything in order to please people because she is a hustler and not a slay queen.
“Acha niwaambie jambo moja kina dada, mimi sio slay queen, mimi ni hustler, hiyo picha ningekuwa na kila sababu ya kuihariri msione chochote kwa sababu naweza. Nimeweka hivyo kwa sababu najivunia na kuonea fahari mwili wangu, na napenda nilivyo! Achene umbea na wivu, jikubalini mlivyo,” Nandy said.
Nandy added that after giving birth, stretch marks for some people make them more attractive and that this is something that happens to almost every mother after bringing a baby into the world, noting that she does not see a reason why people – especially her fellow women – take advantage of her situation to make fun of her on the internet.
“Michirizi kuna baadhi ya wengine inawafanya kuwa sexy, na wengine inawafanya wanakaa vibaya. Zangu hizo 3 nazipenda jamani,” she added.
