Nameless wants South C street named after E-Sir

1 min read

Nameless is petitioning the Nairobi County Council (NCC) to name a street in South C after legendary musician E-Sir who hailed from the middle-class neighbourhood.

The ‘Inspire Me’ hitmaker wants Nairobi County Council to honour E-Sir for his contribution to the Kenyan music industry.

“In honour of this iconic Kenyan artist who was not only a great talent and friend to many but a pioneer in his genre of music, we are calling on the Nairobi County Council (NCC) and The Office of the Ombudsman to name a road, drive or street in South C in ‘E-Sir’s” name as a way of celebrating artistic talent and in honour of his memory,” Nameless said.

On March 16th 2003, Kenya lost one of its greatest musicians in a road accident along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.

Nameless and E-sir were travelling in the same car when the accident happened. The two were on their way back to Nairobi from a concert at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Nameless survived the accident but unfortunately E-Sir succumbed to his injuries.
