“My Mother Prefered My Little Brother Over Me” Jimmy Kibaki On His Late Mother Lucy Kibaki

Mama Lucy Kibaki was on the 7th of May 2016 finally laid to rest on her Othaya home which was attended by many. However Jimmy Kibaki revealed way too much information that most of us didn’t know and to many might cause a controversy.

“One day, I bumped into my mother in Statehouse and she ordered me to go to the office. There, she asked me what I was doing and I told her I went to see dad (Kibaki). She, therefore, proceeded to warn me against visiting my dad anytime I wanted as if Statehouse was our house. She asked me to give the best reasons of why I thought I qualified to be permitted to see my father and I did just that” Said Jimmy.

The son to both Mwai Kibaki and Lucy Kibaki, Jimmy Kibaki went into details how his mother used to prefer his younger brother over him and even thwarted his political ambitions after he took the idea of vying for a political seat to his mother.

“The following day my mother called for the meeting of Statehouse head of departments and asked them to bar me from entering Statehouse unless I had an appointment from her, detailing why I wanted to see my own father. One head of departments was hesitant to break the news to me but I insisted and he went ahead and expounded the purpose of their meeting with my mum. I told him not to worry and he took me and deposited me in my father’s office. My mother’s favourite son was our lastborn Tony who was always at Statehouse with her” continued Jimmy.

“After serving the people of Othaya in various capacities, they requested me to be their Member of Parliament. I sought advise from my mum but she told me I was dumb and unintelligentespecially in decision making. She told me to quit the ambition and I had no option but to obey her”Added Jimmy.

“I remember when I was a student at St. Mary’s High school, there is an Irish priest who used to flog me every Friday until one day I decided to tell my mum. When I reported the foreign priest to my mum about how he repeatedly beat me, my mum accompanied me to the school and asked the man to beat me more. I am also aware that those who read at St. Mary’s including his Excellency the President Uhuru Kenyatta present here went through the same beating. Nonetheless, no one could touch our lastborn no matter who he was because our mum could kill him” Concluded Jimmy.
