Radio presenter and event host Mwalimu Rachel real name Rachel Muthoni Njeru, has been charged with robbery with violence, contrary to section 299 (2) of the Penal Code of the constitution of Republic of Kenya.
The NRG radio presenter appeared at Kikuyu Law Courts on January 31 alone where she was charged alongside four others who were not present for the sentencing.
Mwalimu Rachel was in court for allegedly robbing Martin Mbugua of valuables worth 103, 000 Kenyan Shillings together with accomplices that were not in the Court of Law with her on January 31.
Reportedly, the charge sheet has Mwalimu Rachel and her accomplices allegedly committing the crime on January 17th, 2020 at Kinoo, Kikuyu sub-county within Kiambu County.
She and the other four are said to have taken a wristwatch worth Sh35,000, two silver chains valued at Sh65,000 and Sh3,600 in cash from Mbugua.

This comes after Martin Mbugua exposed the NRG radio presenter on social media for beating him up together with her accomplices a couple of days ago.
Martin Mbugua reported the matter at Kinoo Police Post under OB Number 12/18/1/2020 and obtained a P3 form.
Mwalimu Rachel who is a mother of one has denied the charges and has since been released on a 10,000 Kenyan Shillings bail.
“If the offender is armed with any dangerous or offensive weapon or instrument, or is in company with one or more other person or persons, or if, at or immediately before or immediately after the time of the robbery, he wounds, beats, strikes or uses any other personal violence to any person, he shall be sentenced to death.” section 297 (2) of the Penal Code reads.
The matter will be heard again on February 13, 2020.
