Elizabeth Mimbi Githinji has sadly passed away. She is a member of former president Mwai Kibaki’s family.
Elizabeth Mimbi Githinji is Kibaki’s sister-in-law. She is the mother of Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi.
“We will always remember Mama Elizabeth as a lovely and dedicated Christian, who was kind and loving,” President Uhuru Kenyatta said as he condoles with the family.
She is the wife of Kibaki’s late elder brother Philip Muriithi Kibaki.
