Muthoni the Drummer Queen popularly known as MDQ is a powerful, talented female rapper in Kenya, maybe even way better than most male rappers in the game and this year is definitely her year.
In a span of four months, she has managed to do two collabos with A-List hip hop artistes in the continent one of them being M.I Abaga of Nigeria where she did a song ‘Turn on the Lights’ alongside fellow Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones which took the world by storm to date and her new project with South African veteran, talented young rapper Khuli Chana.
Khuli Chana is so much respected so much so that top established rappers in the game like one of the top rappers in South Africa, Cassper Nyovest approves him as one of the best rappers yet.
Trust me, that’s a big recommendation cum shout out coming from the ‘Doc Shebeleza’ hitmaker.
They have released the video for their song together ‘Baby Don’t Go’ which is a sure hit that will forever go in the books as the few African music collaboration ever done in this century.
The delivery of both artistes in this song only comes to prove that African music is going places and it’s only a matter of time before we surpass the mainstream American hip hop realm in creativity and music delivery.
