It’s not most of the time any successful person gets to be appreciated in the neighborhood where they were born and raised and there’s even a Bible verse, Luke 4:24 “Then He added, “Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.” to back me up on this.
It seems like that saying didn’t apply to one gospel veteran artiste Mr. Seed who held a successful homecoming concert in Huruma, where he was born and bred and at some point whilst still living there, he was staying in a rather unorthodox well-known building there that most locals love to call ‘Fort Jesus’.
Mr. Seed really came from a humble background.
Mr. Seed posted this a couple of days before his ‘Made in Huruma Concert’: “Huruma /Mathare is where my story began. I am writing this with so much humility because my people have been very supportive in my life and musical journey. The year started with a lot of disappointments and challenges but always I always kept the faith and focus and my Home people and fans always kept me motivated. ”
“Let no one tell you that you can’t do it…. Someone somewhere said that I was useless ..but GOD saw something different… Thank you HURUMA.. IT WAS A SUCCESS.. GLORY TO GOD ABOVE 🙏” Mr. Seed had some motivation to share with his fans after the successful concert in Huruma.
The gospel artiste who earlier on this year fell out with fellow gospel artiste, Bahati made a promise to self that he will never, not once ever forget where he came from when he got successful through his passion, which is music and he made it quite clear on the same post he shared about giving back to the community where he was born and bred.
“When we start mentioning slums that are so much populated we can’t forget to mention Mathare/huruma. I promised myself that when God blesses me I won’t forget where I came from and my people. God has been ever faithful and surely His words don’t go in vain. GOD HAS ANSWERED THIS!!” Mr. Seed continued.
Mr. Seed held a super successful concert in Huruma that was held a couple days back and he was even emotional with the overwhelming turn out of people who came out to see him in Huruma Primary School where the concert was held. He was very emotional when he brought out his mother as well in the show.
There were talented artistes who came out to show support to the gospel artiste who declared that 2019 is definitely his year.

Artistes who came out to perform and support Mr. Seed were Willy Paul, Size 8, Moji Short Babaa, Timeless Noel, DJ MO, Masterpiece, David Wonder.
Mr. Seed made history being the first artiste from Huruma to hold a successful concert there even though Huruma has talented artistes and media personalities like Prince Otach, Ken Wamaria, JFam, M4J, Bobby Mapesa, Hellen Mtawali and many others but they have never hold a successful homecoming concert like Mr. Seed’s.
