Veteran Bongo singer Mr Nice praised Diamond Platnumz as he claimed that he used to fly private jets like the Wasafi boss during his heydays.
Mr Nice, through ‘Jana na Leo’ show on Wasafi FM, said that even if he dies today his fans will not miss him because they will be seeing him through Diamond.
The ‘Fagilia’ hit maker said that everything that Diamond is doing right now, starting with clothes, flying on private jets in and outside of Tanzania, is the real picture of him in his days.
“Enzi zangu ilikuwa kawaida kukodiwa private jet kwenda kwenye shoo. Ilikuwa kawaida sana kwangu kupanda ndege ya peke yangu, Marekani kwangu ilikuwa kama ziara ya kwenda sokoni na kurudi. Ndio vitu anavyofanya Diamond sasa hivi, yaani nakwambia mimi nikifa bado Mr Nice ataendelea kuwepo kupitia Diamond,
He further defended Diamond for showing his life on the internet, saying that when a person is a great artiste, there are things he just has to do to show his greatness.
“Watu wanasema ooh eti sijui Diamond anajifanya… hajifanyi! Huo ndio wakati wake uko hapo na hayo mambo yanawezekana sio kwamba anaigiza, ni kwa sababu huu ndio muda wake. Wewe kata au kubali, Diamond ndiye yuko kwa sasa hivi, utafanyaje? Labda ukajinyonge,” Mr Nice said.
The veteran singer confessed that in his days he had a lot of money to the extend that he used to carry some in the boot of his car, because it was a normal thing for him to see money.
“Hiyo ilikuwa ni kawaida, hivyo vitu vipo vina wakati wake na vinapita. sasa hivi mkiniambia nifanye hivyo vitu siwezi kwa sababu umri nao umekwenda na mazingira nayo yamebadilika,” he added.
Mr Nice said that although his dream is to collaborate with any of the new generation artistes who have emerged, he would really like to do a collabo with Diamond.
