Mike Sonko is not one to mince words. Especially dirty words. He and Babu Owino should compete for who has the foulest mouth of the two. The political temperatures are rising as we tiptoe into the election but the Nairobi governor is not one to cool them. He has actually thrown more fuel into the fire by saying some rather nasty things about NASA leader Raila Odinga.

Mike Sonko who was accompanying President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy William Ruto among other leaders during a jubilee rally in Kabarnet town in Baringo County on Wednesday, said:
“The ‘witch’ swore with a holy bible in the name of God that if I, Sonko, will win the Nairobi gubernatorial seat on August 8th then he will resign and retire in politics.”

Manze, some guys are just too talented in matusi! Wah! For those of you living under a rock, Sonko won the election to the Nairobi gubernatorial seat against then NASA governor Evans Kidero. He also spoke about the failed 1982 coup that Raila Odinga was involved in, saying:
“Now he wants to acquire power through backdoor, he should stop being a coward by refusing to face Kenyans in October 26 repeat election..instead if he has decided to quit then he should keep quiet and resign”
My goodness! Undugu ikowapi Wakenya? I understand that Sonko is campaigning but are there no lines that politicians will not cross. We are a powder keg at the moment waiting to explode. Most Kenyans hope that politicians are more guarded in their attacks against each other. Because they will not suffer the same fate as the ordinary man will suffer were violence to break out. Mandugu jameni! 2007 was just 10 years ago. Let us not forget!
