US-based Kenyan singer Mercy Myra was particularly in a jovial mood while announcing the birth of her stepson.

Myra said she was with her daughter when she received the information about the new bundle of joy and had to rush to hospital.

“And then to end Sunday last week.. or rather beginning of this week, my daughter became a #bigsister We rushed to the hospital to finally meet him #babybrother.

“She was soo scared of holding him buuut #mother to the #rescue gave her a quick #101 on how to hold a new born or small baby. And the rest is history..so yeah..

“Our weekend before 4th of July was full with taking a #staycation then Sunday afternoon took my #youngqueen to watch her 1st ever professional #soccergame and cheered our #atlantaunited team.. and we won.. then later after the game we received a call that the baby was here and finally went to meet him. #phew all in one breath.. and all to say.. it was a blessed past weekend!” She wrote.
