Mejja is an undisputed GOAT, let’s give him his flowers

Mejja is officially the hitmaker in the Kenyan music industry and it’s about time he is given his well-deserved props from anyone and everyone especially Kenyans: both the fans and the artistes alike! he’s the selfless, hitmaker who wants nothing but the music industry to grow exponentially.

Mejja has by far become the hitmaker in the Kenyan music industry today, right now, there isn’t any song that features Mejja that’s not a hit song. Numbers don’t lie, especially numbers that aren’t cooked.

The best thing about this is that both the fans and fellow artistes know this to be true.

Thanks to Mejja jumping on Femi One’s hit record dubbed ‘Utawezana’, right now one beautiful soul in Azziad Nasenya is doing what she loves to do which is acting and getting paid while she’s at it.

Since then, Azziad has landed also some lucrative gigs here and there.

The song ‘Utawezana’ had so much ripple effect that it ultimately became the number one song of 2020 not only in Kenya but across the East African region. You better ask somebody!

Mejja is by far without any dispute, one of the very few artistes if not the only artiste in the music industry today who has the “Midas’ touch” when it comes to putting out songs, every song he is a part of becomes an instant hit.

Here are just a few reasons why Mejja deserves props coming his way for helping put the entire genres of music in the Kenyan music industry on the mainstream level.

Taking you back a couple of years ago. Mejja through his clique, The Kansoul got to work with the hottest Gengetone group today(they were not so hot back then), Ethic who are termed to be the founders of the Gengetone genre of music.

It’s alleged that nobody wanted to work with Ethic, especially after their controversial debut hit record dubbed ‘Lamba Lolo’ but Mejja together with his group, The Kansoul jumped in to escalate the new budding genre in the music scene to release one of the timeless single today dubbed ‘Position’ that will forever be considered one of the Kansoul’s hit records.

You won’t find any artiste in the country who has something bad and/or negative to say about Mejja, absolutely no one, he’s as real as real gets and that’s why he’s one of the very few entertainers in the country whos is loved unconditionally by both sides: the fans and fellow entertainers alike.

Starting from humble beginnings in Majengo, Nyeri confessing that it was Clemmo who even bought him his first boxers, Mejja has proven without any reasonable doubt that he’s a versatile artiste and that he can fit in any genre of music so long as there’s a beat attached to it.

Mejja went on to work with Jovial who is doing a different genre of music from what he’s usually used to.

So far, Mejja has worked with Femi One, Mbogi Genje, Richy Haniel, Otile Brown, Magix Enga, Jovial, Bahati on his ‘Wanani Remix’ that also brought out Petra, Odi Wa Murang’a, Ssaru, Benzema.

Mejja real name Major Nemeye Khadija was also featured through The Kansoul(a group that he’s a member of) to work with Ochungulo Family on the ‘Mpenzi Mtazamaji’ hit record. The group was also featured on Boondocks Gang recent project dubbed ‘Hainishtui’ released a month ago.

His recent collaboration project saw him getting featured alongside Ssaru, Breeder LW, Rekles by Willis Raburu alias Bazu on Raburu’s debut record dubbed ‘Kalale’ that currently has over 2.4 million streams on YouTube alone.

Just to put a perspective on how good Mejja is a good hitmaker and a bankable collaborator, all of the aforementioned his records has over 600 views on YouTube alone.

Mejja was nurtured by two of the best in the Genge genre, he was nurtured by Jua Cali real name Paul Julius Nunda and respected, renowned music producer, Clemmo real name Clement Rapudo Sijenyi.
