Lupita Nyong’o was the second highest paid actress in Hollywood blockbuster Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, raking in a whopping $2 million/Ksh266 million.

Actress Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri, took a salary of $3 million for Black Panther Wakanda Forever. Lupita,  who plays Nakia, came second with $2 million while actress Danai Gurira, who plays Okoye, took home a salary of $1.5 million from the movie.

Lupita’s income from Black Panther pushed her net worth $10 million/Ksh1.329 billion. She is a shilling billionaire.

That Sister, an American publication dedicated to positive stories about black Americans and their culture, recently conducted research on the top black female entertainers and their net worth in an industry dominated by men.

Even though Lupita was not among the very top richest black celebrities in US, she was featured on the list with her net worth of $10 million.

The top 10 women included Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé Knowles, Halle Berry, Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah, Whoopi Goldberg, Kerry Washington, Jada Pinkett Smith, Zoe Saldana and Gabrielle Union respectively.

Other women who made the list include Jennifer Hudson, Viola Davis, Angela Basset, Taraji P. Henson, Phylicia Rashad, Vanessa Williams, Zendaya, Mary J. Blige, Regina King, Tracee Ellis Ross, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae, Brandy and Loretta Devine among many others.
