Veteran and legendary Kenyan rapper, Chris Kantai is dead. This is a sad blow to the Kenyan music industry in general especially since he is a pioneer in the music industry, rap genre especially and he made most of your favorite rappers today want to be what they are because of the way he rapped in his music.

Chris Kantai who was featured by Khaligraph Jones three years back on the hit record dubbed ‘Ting Badi Malo’ passed on in the early hours of Wednesday, the news of his passing was made public later on today.

Chris Kantai’s family is yet to make an official statement about the death of the legendary rapper who was rushed to hospital in the morning.

The ‘Happy’ hitmaker was struggling with alcohol addiction for so many years and he had been consistently going to rehabilitation centers across the country.
