11 mins read

Multiple award-winning rapper, Kwesta is the happiest man in the world, at least together with his young family.

Kwesta who is happily married to Yolanda Vilakazi and blessed with a beautiful daughter, Khai Asemahle Vilakazi announced to the world the other day that they are expecting their newest member of the family.

Kwesta is stoked!

Taking us back to memory lane, Kwesta took us to 2012 when his daughter, Khai Asemahle Bulelwa Vilakazi was born.

Kwesta real name Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi admitted that everything in his life was a mess when his daughter was born.

“When Khai Bulelwa Asemahle Vilakazi was born my world was a mess.” Kwesta shared on Instagram, adding, “It was 2012, I shot the Boomshakala video in Cape Town, days after her birth.”

Kwesta went on to open up on how he had no money at all when he became a father, he was happy but broke at the same time and even admitted that Khai’s first year in the world was rather confusing.

“A month later, we went on THT(The Hangover Tour) with Cashtime Fam.” he went on, “A real tour! Like, we didn’t go to shows on the weekend and come back during the week. We were GONE! That shit ended in Jan and I came back home having had a life-changing experience and no money. Khai’s first year was confusing AF.”

Kwesta seldom booked a show and when he did, the little money he got had to contribute into his debut, now-successful album ‘DaKAR’.

Kwesta remembers how his wife, Yolanda Vilakazi borrowed money from her aunt just to celebrate Khai’s first birthday because he was broke almost broke him down emotionally and physically, he couldn’t bare being a broke Kwesta.

“I had become a father and that made me happy but I was broke too. I barely scored a show and when I did, that had to pay people who contributed to DaKAR which I was piecing together with the gents.

I remember Yolanda Vilakazi got money from her aunt or something just to be able to have a little celebration for her 1st birthday.

I almost didn’t even show up… The shame of not just being broke but being a broke Kwesta almost got the better of me.” he added.

Kwesta’s promise to his wife and daughter

After Khai’s first birthday, Kwesta vowed to never ever put his family in a position where they would lack anything, ever, in their lifetime and since then, he has been making good on his promise.

In case you didn’t know, Kwesta took his family to a vacation in Tanzania a couple of months back where they spent some quality time together there and came back to South Africa rejuvenated.

Kwesta is enjoying the good life in Kenya

There’s nothing Kwesta can’t do for his family, absolutely nothing and he’s not afraid to let the whole world know that he puts his family first, especially now since they are about to welcome a new member of the family into the Vilakazi household.

“I vowed to never put Yo or Khai in a situation of dire need like that ever again.” Kwesta said, “Still working on it but all that shxt motivated me… Yo motivated me… Khai motivated me.”

Kwesta’s announcement of his unborn child

It seems Kwesta and Yo[Yolanda] have already come up with the name of their unborn child because Kwesta just gave a hint on his announcement of his unborn child with Yolanda.

Kwesta brings Rick Ross to his hometown, Katlehong and shoots music video there

Thanks to Kwesta, we now know the unborn child of hip hop KING might be called Putsununu[sic].

“This year we are expecting our second child and guess what,” Kwesta announced. “My world is a mess. The future is under threat and IM THE HAPPIEST MAN ALIVE, all at the same time(the new music will clarify) It’s not 2012 though.”

We are not goals. Like everyone, we take small strides each day to try and reach those, together. There has been joy, pain, LOVE, gratitude, disappointment, LOVE, gains, losses, LOVE, Katlehong, Maldives, LOVE, Kisses, Voetseks, LOVE, Strength, Fear, LOVE, good hair days and that thing on my head… And then LOVE once again… Then we try grow that, grow us and when we wanted to grow the family, God showed up… Eintlek… iVrou ispati maan, simithi, sigwinye ighabhu🤰🏾🙏🏿

Kwesta opened up about his family

Kwesta this time around has vowed to grind and hustle like nobody’s business to make sure that his family is well taken care of and make sure they never lack anything, ever.

“I will not place the burden of being motivated on Yo, Khai or Putsununu. I’m getting off the boot of this vintage masterpiece and I’m headed straight to Grindville.

Been a tough 2020 but I’m MUCH tougher. B*tch I’m from K1. Letting you in from Monday. Love.”

Kwesta used the ‘God Guluva’ hashtag finishing the statement.
