Krispah who also answers to Ndovu Kuu as his moniker has finally addressed the issue that got everybody talking about it. He addressed his music video ‘Ndovu ni Kuu’ getting pulled down from YouTube.
His hit song ‘Ndovu ni Kuu’ prior to getting pulled down from YouTube was one of the songs that were getting traction by the minute having made history a few days back for trending in the top 10 slot position on YouTube for 4 weeks straight, no other Kenyan song has ever achieved that accolade prior or after ‘Ndovu ni Kuu’.
The ‘Ndovu ni Kuu’ is way bigger than anyone could ever imagine it would be.
The song had over 3.5 million views before it got pulled down on YouTube after an upcoming artiste Dexta Briyanka claimed that the hit song sampled from his song dubbed ‘V8’ and wanted to protect Kenyatta University’s reputation thus his reason/s of pulling down the song. Krispah has denied that his song has something against the University so that it’s out there.
Addressing the same on a video that he shared online, Krispah alias Arcane Krispah and/or Ndovu Kuu said that him being a producer, he produced the song himself, he even has masters of the song to show for it and doesn’t understand why his song was pulled down indefinitely from YouTube.
In the video, he said that a representative from the Kenyatta University reached out to him this past Friday to tell him that his song has caused some serious damage to the reputation of the University after his line; “mtoto wangu akiitwa KU, nitakataa, hakuna Masomo KU nimekataa[I will refuse if my kid gets admission to KU, there’s no education in KU]” went viral on the song.
Krispah real name Christopher Thande Githara even shared the screenshot of their email conversation with one Mr. Machua Koinange.
Krispah who is also a renowned record producer went on to share a phone conversation his representative had with Dexta Briyanka whom they want to sue for pulling down the ‘Ndovu ni Kuu’ hit song from YouTube.
Here’s the video of Krispah addressing the ‘Ndovu ni Kuu’ hit song getting pulled down from YouTube.
Even though the song has been pulled down on YouTube, it is still up on other DSPs[digital streaming platforms].
