King Kaka had a brush with death in 2021 after he was misdiagnosed. Doctors gave him 30 days to live but by the grace of God he defied the odds and recovered.

In a post on social media, the rapper’s wife Nana Owiti recently recounted what her husband went through when he was seriously sick and staring at death.

Nana said that even after King Kaka was discharged from hospital his full recovery at home was a journey on its own.

She posted a photo of King Kaka looking emaciated as he recovered at home.

“On my phone memories, this pic just made an appearance and my God! Let’s just say, I shed a tear. Why am I lying? I cried and ‘crode’. Forgive my massacre to the Queen’s language. Gai! Look at that bucket hat and how big it was(he would wear those mostly to mask his predicament.

“To avoid questions and try to look normal. We had just left the hospital here so as you can imagine, the days and nights prior to this were longer.. @thekingkaka could barely sit on this chair for 3 minutes. His bones were feeble.Man!

“I don’t know about you but I know God exists because we experienced His love, he touched our hands and we saw His face all in His own timing. Anyway, Please Hang in there if you are going through a tough time. It shall pass. As I always say, stop trying to calm the storm-It’s impossible,Calm yourself and the storm will pass. I love you guys 💕,” Nana wrote.

King Kaka in September 2021 came out to reveal that he had been quite sick after a long period of silence.

The rapper said he had been sick for more than three months after he was misdiagnosed.

“I was misdiagnosed. Lost 33kgs and in the process, we started hospital visits. Did all the tests and they were negative. Funny thing is I feel no pain and we are still hopeful we will get the solution soon,” King Kaka wrote.

He further disclosed that doctors ultimately managed to narrow down his condition to HLH, sepsis, or blood infection and was given medication around that diagnosis.

“We did all sorts of tests still and almost settled on a condition called HLH and around sepsis and blood infection that makes you lose appetite and all sorts of things,” he added.

In another post on social media in January 2022, King Kaka said that doctors had given him 30 days to live after the misdiagnosis.

“Xray showing niko na cavity kwa my 2 lungs Bado. Walinipa 30days niishi that was 4 months ago,” wrote King Kaka.
