King Kaka didn’t just own the day which happened to be the day that he launched his 5th studio album dubbed ‘Eastlando Royalty’, he proposed to the mother of his two adorable kids and the love of his life, Nana Owiti.
Amongst the 22 records on the album, ‘Dundaing’ is one record that has seemingly become an anthem in the country and as it so happens, it is a record that is enjoying international rotation thanks to Kenyan-American international Disk Jockey by the name of Dj Poizon Ivy who has brushed shoulders with the likes of Post Malone, Snoop Dogg, Steve Aoki, Yella Beezy, Kirk Franklin, just to name a few.
DJ Poizon Ivy who is not only a DJ at K104 radio which is a radio station exclusively dedicated for hip and RnB located in Grand Prairie, Texas but she also doubles as the official DJ for Dallas Mavericks and a proud Kenyan living in the land full of opportunities, United States of America and this time around she decided to give the Americans a little taste of Kenyan music by playing King Kaka’s hit record ‘Dundaing’.
The King Kaka’s song ‘Dundaing’ features Magix Enga and Kristoff and it has since become an instant success with it currently having YouTube views of 921,000 in just one month since its release.
Dj Poizon Ivy played the ‘Dundaing’ song in the recent Dallas Mavericks game where they were playing against Portland Trail Blazers which was played yesterday at the American Airlines Center where they won, who knows, maybe her playing the Kenyan song was good luck enough to see them to victory.
