King Kaka may have beefs with different artists but one thing we do appreciate is that he does care about the general direction being taken by the country. Be it in the entertainment industry or in the socio-political sphere.
So much so that Kevin Obimba alias King Kaka has released a brand new song entitled “Bonga” meaning speak up. The song which is the latest track released by the rapper is meant to help spread peace and love in the country amidst all the political turmoil the country is undergoing.
The song analyses and explains the political differences in the country which in turn lead to tribalism. As a solution, he urges Kenyans to practice peace and love and not to fight their neighbors because of politicians who do not care about them.
To show how current the song is, he also condemns the killings of citizens in Kawangware that happened last week when two opposing gangs attacked each other. He said:
“Hakuna haja ya killings,let us not shed blood instead let us love each other and keep the peace. Nilizaliwa one time,nasimama na ukweli na ukiskia wameniangusha mjue ni kwa sababu King Kaka alizusha.”
I will always say this. Any artist that preaches togetherness in their music should be supported, especially in an environment of such cynical politics that we currently live in. Hongera Kaka.
