King Kaka joined Africa and African artistes, celebrities, and fans who are mourning the untimely death of Boss Zonke who was known everywhere as Riky Rick.
Riky Rick passed on a few days ago on 23 February 2022, this news is still a shock to a lot of people today who were in denial that he was gone because prior to his passing, he had signed a lucrative deal with African Bank.
His death has clearly left a void in the African music industry across all genres and African fashion. If anything, Riky Rick was somewhat the face of the African fashion scene in respect to artistes, there’s no African rapper who would outshine him when it comes to fashion, and the most humble thing there is, people knew all about it.
He was as much a fashion icon as he was a music icon.
Taking to social media, King Kaka publicly mourned Riky Rick as one of the easiest and respectful persons he’s ever met becoming the second mainstream Kenyan rapper to mourn the philanthropist, businessman and rapper right after Khaligraph Jones.
King Kaka recalls the first time he met Riky Rick whose real name is Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado in France for a Remy Martin dinner that had a dress code for the dinner but Riky Rick being bold and different, showed up for the dinner in a pink suit.
“We met in France sometime back, very easy guy. I remember Remy Martin mentioned the Dresscode for the Dinner was black and white, you showed up with a pink suit, Bold Pink Suit, I asked you what’s with the color and you said “Be different My Brother”. Sad to learn of his death through suicide. Rest Easy Riky Rick. ‘Be Bold Be Different’,” King Kaka mourned Riky Rick.
Just as millions of Africans who were and still are his fans, King Kaka cannot seem to believe that the ‘Amantombazane’ hitmaker is no more.
