After Jeff Koinange, Kibera youth posthumously honor their late MP Ken Okoth with graffiti (Photos)

The late Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth may be gone from this world but his memories live on. At least youth in Kibera slum have already immortalized him.

During Ken Okoth’s memorial service held at Moi Girls High School in Kibera, leaders called on the deceased to be forever immortalized in his constituency.

Citizen TV journalist Jeff Koinange had earlier announced that he will rename Jeff Koinange library at Mbagathi Girls after Ken Okoth.

While still alive, Ken him decided to name the library in Mbagathi girls after Jeff Koinange because the Citizen TV anchor donated books and helped in the construction of the library. However Jeff decided to rename the library after Ken following his demise.

“A very SAD day…Ken Okoth was a GREAT man..A FIGHTER…A great LEADER…We were just about to LAUNCH the “Jeff Koinange LIBRARY ” at Mbagathi Girls in Kibra…In HONOR of Ken, I will rename it “KEN OKOTH LIBRARY”…Rest in Peace Bro..Till we MEET,” wrote Jeff Kaoinange.

Youth in Kibera have also decided to do what is within their means to immortalized their late MP. A group of artists in the slums have honored the MP with a graffiti.

“Ken was very supportive of his people here in Kibra and especially the youth and so we thought the best way to honour him was to have his graffiti done here in Kibra,” said one of the artists.

The artists decided to pain the graffiti on a wall at the DC stage in Kibera. They painted one of the most recognizable portrait of the late Kibra MP.

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja lauded the youth for work well done, he shared photos of the graffiti on his social media handles.
