Khaligraph Jones jumps in the booth to record a song with Mejja

3 mins read

This is the very first-time Khaligraph Jones has jumped on a recording studio with the hitmaker in Kenya today, Mejja.

Granted, Khaligraph Jones has a lot of music, unreleased songs in his music vault but fans are somewhat way interested in his highly anticipated collaboration project with Mejja who has worked with almost every other artiste in the industry, every song Mejja jumps on, becomes an instant hit and classic, it’s about time Khaligraph Jones jumped on that Mejja bandwagon.

The self-proclaimed rap’s OG Khaligraph Jones took to social media to hint at a foreseeable collaboration project with Mejja where he deduced that the Gengetone and Genge maestro who is known for putting out songs using the predominant Sheng in his songs is rapping, for the very first time, in English in an entire verse.

That revelation only makes the collabo even more anticipated, it’s really rare to listen to Mejja rapping in English, actually, this will be the very first time he does that.

As it stands now, Mejja has worked with Bahati(thrice), Willy Paul(twice), Mejja, Femi One, Adasa, Jovial, and the humbled artiste played a key role in making sure Trio Mio found his way into the mainstream music scene by getting featured on his ‘Cheza Kama Wewe Remix’ together with ExRay, and Nellythegoon.

Mejja has been carrying the entire music industry in Kenya on his shoulders for over 2 years now without relent or complaining because he doesn’t charge for his features unlike his counterparts in the industry.

Just to be thorough, Mejja has also worked with Mbogi Ngenje, Parroty, Bensoul, Sauti Sol, Nviiri the Storyteller, Jua Cali, Odi Wa Murang’a, Ssaru, Willis Raburu, Rekless, Breeder LW, Richy Haniel, The Luchi, and Otile Brown and other mentionable collaborations he’s done in the recent past.

His collaboration record with Khaligraph Jones comes after fans saw the award-winning rapper together with Nyashinski jamming to their unreleased collaboration song together.

From the looks of it, Khaligraph Jones intends to take over the music industry by storm and not only the hip hop and rap scene, and Ohangla genre, but also the Gengetone, and Genge genres as well.

Here’s the short muted clip of Mejja together with Khaligraph Jones jamming to an unreleased song inside the Blu Ink Corps studios, a recording studio and label owned by Khaligraph Jones.
