I know everybody has a story to tell and those people who are successful in life usually has the most interesting story of their come-up to become as successful as they are today but I can say boldly that Lamaz Span K.O.B had it rough growing up and he tells it all in his new record ‘Stories’ which features the sought-after record producer, Magix Enga.

Listening to what Lamaz Span K.O.B is saying on the record he just put out recently, you would respect him for making it to where he is today.

Khaligraph Jones elder brother opens up about how he tried different hustles you can ever think of from selling read gazettes to women who sell French fries in the hood to trying a career as a rapper and failed to being a computer  techie, sleeping in cells with the most notorious convicts you could ever imagine to getting evicted out of his house because of lacking in rent to his girlfriend leaving him because he didn’t have any money in his pocket.

This song is deep, really deep. It depicts the struggles of what most men from the hood usually go through and most of them can resonate with the struggle.

The entire first verse on the ‘Stories’  record is quotable, here it is

mi nishai uza mpaka tyres
mi nishaitwa kasee
nishaitry mpaka ngoma once
nishaii toa cassette
nishai kua msee wa kuuzianga mama chipo ma gazette
nishaitry mpaka soccer ndo nikue Lacazette
nishaikua msee wa comp kuinstall McAfee
macomp zikacrush wakaninyima mpaka fare
kutana na majambazi na ma fe so unfair
I have a lot of stories I could tell
nishai achwa na dame juu nishaikosa cent
nishai chujwa kwa keja juu nishai kosa rent
nishaidoze cell na magathee ka Matheri
simiti mpaka chee na mathug na mapedi
yes nishaibeg
nishaibeg mpaka bread
nishaibeg mpaka bed
nishaibeg mpaka Fred
nishaibeg mpaka Ben and a million other friends
I’ve been to the deepest end

It takes a real man to open up the way Lamaz Span K.O.B did on this record and to do it in such an artistically way is beyond anyone could ever father, his delivery makes you want to sympathize with him but at the same time, the flow of the record with the bars makes you want to shake your head and listen keenly to what he has to say, now this is a true hip-hop artiste.

Lamaz Span K.O.B also opens up about contemplating suicide because nothing was working out for him but through the help of his mother and her prayers he pushed on and he finally got to win with making a 100,000(USD 1000) Kenyan shillings on a daily selling Subarus regardless of whether it’s a good or bad day.

Lamaz Span K.O.B might have just changed the game with this ‘Stories’ record right here, he just makes the rap flow look so easy.
