Another one! Khaligraph Jones crowned Best East Africa rapper

Khliagraph Jones is on a winning streak once again only this time making headlines not only in the country but outside.

Since the rapper took over the hip hop and rap scene back in 2015, at least commercially, he’s been able to change the game as we know it; he has managed to raise the bar even higher and set the bar higher than anybody could ever imagine.

Thanks to the AFRIMA, AFRIMMA, Soundcity MVP Awards-winning rapper, Kenya has been recognized as one of the best rapping countries in East Africa today, something that he’s been proud of ever since he went commercial.

The BET Awards nominee has also been nominated for the MAMAs(MTV Africa Music Awards) 2021 that will be held in Kampala, Uganda as hosted by Grammy Award-winning global sensation DJ Khaled.

He was nominated in the ‘Listeners’ Choice’, and ‘Best Hip Hop’ categories at the MAMAs 2021.

In the Hip Hop category, he was slotted against Nasty C, Suspect 95, Kwesi Arthur, NGA, and OMG from South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Angola, and Senegal respectively.

The MAMAs was scheduled to be held on 20 February 2021 but later on postponed, Khaligraph Jones was scheduled to share the same stage with Wizkid, Sheebah Karungi, Diamond Platnumz, Suspect 95, Soraia Ramos, Calema.

The Kayole born-and-bred rapper has been feted in Uganda before we finally get to know who will scoop the prestigious MAMAs 2021 when the even comes back from postponement.

Thanks to Hip Hop, the ‘Yes Bana’ hitmaker has won yet another award in Uganda courtesy of MTN Uganda.

Khaligraph Jones has been crowned the Best East African Rapper of the Year by MTN UG Hip Hop Awards, something he’s proud and humble about as he took to social media to express his approval and gratitude.

“Thank You @mtnug THE OG HAS BEEN RESPECTED….” he subtly shared on social media.
