Bongo singer Zuchu began her tour of the US with a rather disappointing show in Houston, Texas on November 18, 2022, but her Washington DC show was a success.
The Bongo singer performed at a sold-out gig in the greater Washington area (DMV) on Saturday, December 26.
Kenyan US-based event organizer Sue Gacambi was behind the success of Zuchu’s show in DC.
Gacambi who organized Zuchu’s gig, mustered Kenyans in the US to attend the show.
She took to social media to thank Kenyans in the DC area for filling Zuchu’s gig.
“Bila Wakenya wetu hatunge sold out, Kenyans came through for Zuchu. Asanteni, the next show will be in Dallas on Friday the 2nd,” Sue Gacambi wrote as she shared the clip of a fully packed in DMV.

Sue Gacambi is also organizing shows for Mugiithi singer Samidoh.
The US-based event organizer recently urged musicians from Africa to be humble, saying they shouldn’t be fooled by their popularity in Africa to think that they are also big in America.
