The talented artiste and stellar vocalist, Karun from the alleged defunct group, Camp Mulla -that took the music industry by storm and controlled it for years- agrees that the Kenyan music industry today is booming with talents like never before and grateful for that.

Taking to social media, Karun who is an adoring mother to a beautiful, baby boy said that she was overwhelmed with all the great content Kenyan musicians have been putting out of all proving our artistes are as prolific as they come.

“But seriously, I’m seeing so much dope Kenyan Content online… like, even me I’m overwhelmed with all this awesome stuff! It’s a good year for the Music industry!! 😭😭😭 🌟🌟 ✨🌟🌟🧡 🤯🤯🤯” she said in part about the Kenyan music industry and Kenyan artistes being prosperous.

Statistics agrees with Karun who has since released numerous solo projects with a promise of releasing two music videos this week as it’s hardly the mid year and so far we have seen Kenyan artistes like Kagwe Mungai, Femi One, Mr. Ke4, Maandy, Clay OG Stoner releasing their albums, EPs and mixtapes within the year with gospel artiste, Mr. Seed promising to release his debut album later on this year which he has since promised that it will change the music industry today as we know it.

It’s no lie and/or a secret that the Kenyan music scene is changing and the best part of it all is that it is also going global thanks to artistes like Octopizzo, Willy Paul, Bahati, Khaligraph Jones, Nyashinski, Sauti Sol and many others. It’s Kenya to the rest of the world season, better recognized.
