Karen Nyamu has revealed why the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua publicly shouted at her come-we-stay husband Samuel Muchoki aka Samidoh following the altercation with Edday Nderitu in Dubai in December 2022.

In a recent interview with Ala C on the show Reke Ciume and Ene, the mother of three children opened up about the close relationship between her and Gachagua and the important role he plays in their lives.

Nyamu said DP Gachagua is like a father to him and Samidoh and often gives them advice, as he does to many other young people.

“The deputy president is a simple person, he is our friend. He advises young people, for us he is like a father,” Nyamu said.

He added, “All of you may see him as the deputy president but for us we see him as a father. He never has problems, he is a person to advises many people. He spoke because our affairs are clear.”

The UDA nominated senator pointed out that she and Samidoh respect the deputy president and always listen to his good advice.

Earlier this year, DP Rigathi Gachagua told Samidoh to take control of his relationships and prevent the conflicts that were being witnessed while threatening to prevent him from traveling abroad if he failed.

Gachagua was referring to the drama that happened between the Mugithi singer, his wife Edday Nderitu and his baby mama Karen Nyamu in Dubai in December 2023.

He noted that Samidoh has earned the respect of many through his songs and now he should restore order in his family and ensure that decency prevails.

“Now you Samidoh control your people. Plan your words and if you fail, we will forbid you to go abroad,” said Gachagua jokingly.

He said that when the singer goes out to perform in a foreign country, he should remember that many foreign countries do not value polygamy.

Gachagua was speaking during the funeral service of the sister-in-law Kuria Pauline Nyokabi. Samidoh was also there.

In December last year, a video went viral online showing Nyamu and Samidoh’s wife Edday fighting badly at a concert in Dubai where Samidoh was performing.

A dispute between the two saw Nyamu being forcibly removed from the stage and chased away by a security guard.

In a separate clip, Nyamu was filmed dancing on stage while Samidoh and gospel singer Karangu Muraya performed.

Karen Nyamu later blamed her actions on alcohol, a habit she vowed to stop from January this year.
